A Product Review

Hello all,

I generally shy away from product reviews.  One climber’s trash is another treasure, especially when it comes to something as ubiquitous as climbing line!  However, I had the good fortune of having Sterling Rope generously “gift” me a hank of their new arborist climbing line and I thought I would take the time to share my thoughts.

If any one has any further questions, just drop me an e-mail or reply to the post.  I would be glad to impart whatever knowledge I can.

Stay safe and happy,

Tony

Gravitational Anarchy Roadshow

As fall creeps toward winter, my training/travel season picks up for one last year ending swell of activity.  Just last week I ventured to Burlington, Vermont to speak at the New England Chapter of the ISA’s annual conference.  The trade show and talks were great and the NE ISA made me feel more than welcome and at home.  Thanks so much from so many who were there.  If any of you out there get the chance to attend one of NE ISA’s annual conferences, I highly recommend it.  Not only for excellent educational value, but fun and camaraderie as well.  An excellent opportunity to learn surrounded by great, generous people.

It is not often that I get to combine my passions into one trip.  However, this last week in Vermont I was able to!  Great weather combined with hospitable distances and a permissive time schedule allowed me to ride my motorcycle to the event.  Fellow arborist, climber and all around great guy, Eric Whipple joined up with me on the way and we enjoyed a scenic tour of western Vermont at one of the most beautiful times of the year on the east coast.

Here is a short “highlight” real of sorts, I put together as I played with my helmet cams on the ride.

Enjoy,

Tony
